Dennis Overton OBE
Dennis has spent his career founding and building businesses in the green and blue economies of Scotland and Rwanda. Passionate about sustainable food production he pioneered the farming of organic salmon, chairing the UK Soil Association 2013-17. Committed to fair work practices and structures, as co-founder, he curated Aquascot into one of Scotland’s largest indigenous employee-owned businesses. As chair of West Highland-based Ardtornish since 2011 he has steered the business into renewable energy, carbon capture and regenerative farming enterprises. Dennis was appointed founding chair of the Scottish Food Commission in 2024, as part of Scotland’s commitment to transform its food system, set out in the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act, 2022.
